Horrmundgårdens Hostel and B&B in Sälen

Room | At Horrmundgårdens Hostel and B&B in Sälen, located in the middle of the forest, you will be surrounded by birdlife, and if you are lucky you might spot a bear and elk. The hostel is close to Sälen’s mountains and ski slopes. Nearby Fulufjällen offers good fishing and beautiful hikes. Only 16 km to Sälen town center. At Horrmundsgården Hostel and B&B, you can choose to stay in the hostel or in the bed & breakfast.

Horrmundsgården has 12 rooms with 45 beds. Communal kitchen, toilets and showers. Horrmundsgården is also suitable for groups.
There are saunas both inside and outside in a log cabin and a hot tub. You can spend dark winter nights or warm summers evenings in the cosy hut by the fire, put on a coffee kettle or prepare local food over the open flames.
Breakfast can be ordered and will always include fresh waffles with locally sourced berries, like blueberries, or even cloudberries.

We are close to the ski slopes of Sälen and Trysil is only 50 minutes away by car. Snowmobile trails pass just outside your door.
If you want to go fishing, there are great opportunities in the rivers or any of the numerous lakes. During summer, a hike in the mountains is a must, even if only for a day or a few. We will supply maps or drop you off at a starting point and pick you up at your destination. In summer we also offer guided tours in the mountains and fly fishing courses.
We are at your disposal at all times time and will assist you with maps, fishing licenses, or anything you might need. We have two canoes for rent and will gladly transfer you upstream and pick you up where you go ashore. You can also paddle in the nearby Horrmundsjön, and take a nice swim while you are there.

We never accommodate guests from different families in the same room. Children have their own playroom and in summer a playground. TV room and wireless Internet. During summer, the cafe is open, offering home baked goodies.
