Cave tour to KvarnbäckslabyrintenDate: Saturday 23 jun 2018 - Saturday 18 Aug 2018
Visit one of the deepest caves in the Åre mountains. A completely authentic limestone cave.
This is a true cave adventure on nature's own terms and conditions.
The cave is located north of Åre not far from Kall lake. This is one of the longer, guided cave tours in Sweden. You start with a 45 minute walk to the caves, located in a beautiful part of the forest. There are actually several caves with a total length of about 450 meters.
It is a fairly narrow cave system, but there are also caverns and somewhat wider aisles. It is a true adventure where nothing has been altered or adapted in order to facilitate the experience.
We will take a lunch break around noon and make an open fire outside one of the old copper mines. After the break we make our way to the Upper Kvarnbäckslabyrinten which is not only the longest cave but the wettest with water through the passage. Expect nothing but getting wet.
A backpack, robust shoes, gloves and a change of clothes.
If required, we will arrange transport.
Caving overall, headlamp, helmet and lunch.
Minimum age 8 years.
Meeting point is Preem petrol station in Björnänge at 10 am.
